My overhaul is done on my 87 300D.Just how do you peen the attachment link on a Chain?
Could anyone give me clear instructions? I don't want to use excessive force or bend my camshaft gear...I have lost my faith in the Impco tool and can't get a good peen.. |

Put a small 5# sledge hammer behind it to hold it in place and use a small ball peen hammer to hit around the outer edge of the "pin" you are peening. Don't have to hit it real hard, just alot with solid back up. After you have mushroomed it out pretty good do the next one.
