I had thougt about 67 HP for my '83 240D (US model), but I figured all that would get is laugh's. In MO all we get is total of 6 spaces. Could do '83 MB , but I have been thinking about FTN .

I ordered a pair of vanity plates for my car about a year ago. I ordered mine to read "DB300DT". Daimler-Benz 300DT. I would have chosen MB300DT, but another w123 300DT in the same town I used to live in had them already.

On my first 300DT, I had vanity plates that read "N8S84TD", meaning;

Nates '84 Turbodiesel

My VA plates just say "OLD SMKY"

but I have apparently been mistaken for a retired state trooper by those too young to remember the song. Actually, my '85 300TD smokes very little, even at 336,000 miles, but I originally got the plates for an '85 VW Jetta diesel which did smoke quite a bit anytime it had to climb Afton Mountain.

A friend of mine got lucky with his new plates years ago in California. For his '67 SS Camaro, his came as 427 USA without special order.

Once upon a time (in about 1970),

before vanity plates were available, I went into the registration office in Moorhead, Minnesota to get plates for a '66 Porsche 911 I had acquired. I noticed that the customer ahead of me was being given a plate whose last three digits were "907," so I asked the guy at the counter if he'd mind if I got out of line and waited till I would be in the right sequence to get "911," and he was happy to oblige.

I got Antique Car plates, and was going to get KLATTA put on it, but MS doesn't let you have personalized antique plates.... darn! Betcha it amuses people to get passed on the interstate by an antique car though!

Michigan 2SLO4U

Hello Jim's500E = Large Member
At the WDC #10 we saw that plate
Michigan
2SLO4U

It was on a right hand drive 300SD that was for sale.
If we could have gotten a picture, we would have.
Take a look at some of the pictures.
