I am buying a W210 diesel, not sure specifically what year, but want some buying advice. I am very familiar with working on W123, W124 and W140 diesels, but want to know if you have anything special I need to look out for.

Check out last weeks posts, now a few pages back. Somebody else was asking the same question about a W210 and there was quite a responce and a lot of info, check it out!

One of the main things that you may concern yourself with a purchase of a W210 MB, from 96 onward, is the usage of inferior metals used by MB to construct their autos.

Please look into "search" on this forum under "Spring purch failure" it will give you greater perspective about the newer MBs.
