Guys a friend of mine brought a box of these gloves to me at the last GTG we had here at the house, and I really liked using them. They are industrial use gloves not for medicial and hold up well and are easy to put on. To make a long story short I did a search and found a destribitor for them on the internet. Their list is $15, but the discounted price is $7.80 for a box of 100 count, even when placing the order on the web it first shows list then discounted price. The company is BioExpress (1-800-999-2901) in Utah here is a direct link to the gloves. www.bioexpress.com Unlike most places with miminum orders of $50 this place will sell by the box, so I ordered 3 boxes.
PS: I paid $9 for one box of 100 latex crap gloves here local. So lets try to help prevent some cancer out there amoung you younger types.

$7.22 for Nitrile, I like the SAS Safety Corp. brand. http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/TTW234.html#4100
The ToolWarehouse has more choices for gloves than anyplace I have ever seen. I gave up on the Home Depot and places that sell only one size-fits-all Latex crap. SAS-Safety brand comes in L and XL too.

I just bought a box of 100 nitrile gloves and will use them every time I work on my engine. I just changed my oil today useing them and I must say gloves are the way to go! No diesel oil all over your hands to wash off, I hate diesel oil it is nasty stuff.

this is actually a good point. if i had it to do all over again i probably would have worn gloves from day one... the wif is an emt so i steal some her gloves sometimes ... and keep some in the car for those roadside jobs
seriously even the gloves emt's wear these days are getting more robust and could likely handle more oil before breaking down which was their detraction in the past.

Old Navy,
I tried to order some of the gloves, but the price stayed at $15.00, and the shipping charges were not disclosed on the screen (would be calculated later). I was not wanting to buy a "pig in a poke" so I did not buy. How did you get the discounted price? Is there some trick? George |

George, not to steal some elses recommended place for biz, but I urge you to see the link to www.thetoolwarehouse.net Or call them at 1 800 533 8818. They do not mess around with the discount later type of thing, unless you get a offer for no shipping charges over $100, which they send out every so often.
And they have great tools for auto mechanics, no garbage stuff! DDH

How about something to wear so you don't get dirty. I don't really own any clothes that I should be wearing around cars. Dress shirts and ties is basically all I own. I've seen somewhere before some type of a one piece disposable pants/shirt ? It was white and it looked like a BIO/HAZARD suit..
any ideas ?

Same place as I listed above, but there is always Wally World and a cheap set of jeans and colored T-shirts that are reusable.
Hey who knows, you might like dressing down once in awhile.

Kamil, I do not recommend Tyvek suits (I think that is what you are talking about) unless it is plenty cool outside. I have spent a lot of time wearing them and never liked it much. They don't breathe, so you end up soaking in sweat in a very short time. I would go the cheap jeans and shirt route if I were you. Or if you really want coveralls, go with some light weight cotton coveralls.

Kamil just fix a few oil leaks wearing a nice set of cloths. Than you will have a good set for working on your car.

Work clothes- Cheap
Jeez, just go to yard sales or a thrift shop and you will find every sort of clothes you might need. Here in North Miami, the Red, White & Blue on NW 6th Ave sells even brand new clothes that for some reason were donated by retail stores.
Shirts around $3.00, pants for $3.00. Yard sale prices vary, but tend to be even less.
