Transmission Mount Replacement - Factory Part or Aftermarket?
The factory part is $51.00. A Lemforder aftermarket (which is most likely the OEM) is $30.
Anyone have adverse experiences with aftermarket transmission mounts? Thank you in advance.

I put an aftermarket trans mount in my 81SD three years and 50k miles ago. So far no problem. I could not give you the name of the manufacturer, but I do recall being at the parts counter and selecting the cheap part.

Lemforder probably made the dealer one. I installed Lemforder engine mounts on my car and could not tell them apart from the OE's.

Lemforder and Febi are both OEM, their parts will be identical to those installed at the factory. Others are not so good, usually.

I just received my Lemforder transmission mount. Just like the LCA bushings, this part had the MB logo ground off (along with some of the part numbers). So this IS the factory part, just purchased through the aftermarket system.
BTW the part number for my mount is 123 240 2518 if anyone searches for the part number in the future.
