Smile New Timing Chain in 240D - Wow!

Just a minute to direct my excitement to some folks who might care (girlfriend just doesnt seem to understand) . I broke down and got a good MB shop to put a new timing chain and tensioner in the 240D. I had been milling over replacing it myself (without garage, time, etc... for a few months), but finally decided to bite the bullet. it knew it had over 5 degrees of stretch about 6 months ago and man what a difference the new chain makes! i had the mech. give a compression test and test the injectors. 3 of the 4 injectors were bad so he said i probably wont notice much of a difference (im going to order some rebuilts in the next week or so), but It not only starts up easier, it is noticeably peppier and doesnt have as much of a lag. in general the whole engine just feels tighter. cant wait to see what happens when i put the new injectors in!

i just love that little unit!
