The description seems a little sketchy to me. The paint looks like hell.

What if... that poor thing miraclously had a newer head? I wish i can get it, and learn how to rebuild the engine (is a OM603 a good guinea pig engine to learn on?). Sigh, oh well.

It's nearly in my backyard. Is it worth buying? Look at what I already own below. I am too new to know what of the parts from the eBay vehicle would do me any good.

What say the masses?

a 603 engine , a good one anyway , aren't a dime a dozen. But a 617 swap would be cheap.

It is priced right - I'd check carefully for rust and realize that parts for 603 engines are way more $$$$ than OM61X parts. If there are minimal rust issues and car is as described by the seller its a good deal.

I see a few potentially good parts on that car.

Those wheels are from an early 210, six-cylinder.

The dash doesn't appear to have cracks.

The seats SEEM to be in respectable shape.

Hmmmmm.., He says the paint is in EXCELLENT shape(I almost fell off my chair, laughing). Still makes me wonder.

For the money, how could you lose?

That's what I think. IMO, the paint just looks really dirty, a good wash and wax APPEARS it would clean up nicely.

Someone bought it.. anyone from here?

That car is a gold mine for $350!
If you get a newer radiator, oil cooler and, those wheels your up to $1k already. The rear lights are good. Not to mention for me I would want the trans I bet it isn't original, the head could be fine, the ip. If someone here bought that we need to talk!

That's a heck of a deal for someone with an SDL and room for a parts car. I have to wonder about the engine though, because the seller listed it as a 5 cylinder. Since they seem to be a shop owner, I would hope they know what they're talking about.

Also, don't get too excited about those wheels. The bottle cap style can easily be found for under $200 a set.

So who bought it? Anyone here? If it was closeer to me I would have jumped on it. Although my parents would have shot me, the basement is already full of spare W126 parts.
