W116 head pipe question.

The second bend, the one from verticle to horisontal as it curves to go under the floor. How many of you have that bend partially collapsed (like half way to being kinked)? Not nice and mandrel bent looking like the first bend? I just noticed that today looking at it.

my 1979

My 1979 300sd exhaust is not bent like that. Are your euro bumpers fiberglass kind of like a ground effects kit?

No, its the Chrome euro bumpers, this is a W116 remember. Those puppies were not that easy to find either.

I know

The reason I asked about the bumpers is a W116 showed up at are local junk yard and it has fiberglass bumpers similar to what I would call a ground effects kit in the front and a fiberglass rear bumper they are very unique.

I saw one of thos kits on Ebay....... The chin spoiler is fine, but I don't like the hide the bumpers aspect of the kit. Eurobumpers are so clean on this body as it is. It was the Federally mandated bumpers and lights that ruined the lines of this car.
