What is this part leaking oil ?
Hey.
I noticed a little oil on this part. The oil is basically on the bottom of it on the little tube and on the side hose as well. Not sure what this part is or does and I'm not sure why it is leaking oil. It's nothing major, maybe it's buildup from many years. Your expertise would be greately appreciated. Here are two pics.... ![]() ![]()

That's the oil separator, it removes most of the oil from the blowby and returns it to the crankcase. Probably the o-ring in the side tube (from the valve cover) is old and shrunk.

Kamil,
I'm glad U posted that picture of the oil separator. I never knew what one looked like because my cars (190D thru 300 SDL) don't seem to have one. Probably easier to replace the o-rings than change psfred's mind on Bush. LOL P E H |
