Unbelievable E-bayer

Hi everyone,
Not trying to waste anyone's time but boy is this one annoying....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4503187421&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I never really noticed as many dicrepancies on E-bay until I started listening here about them. Now they kinda glare at me. Thanks to all who have shown me to read the descriptions, and look closely at the photos.

Look at this description...

THERE ARE NO DISAPPOINTMENTS HERE! The air conditioning blows warm. The sunroof does not work! The driver's seat has wear cracks in it and can be seen in the photos!! The woodtrim in the center console has faded from the Florida heat. The Rear wagon door supports are weak. We tried to photograph any defects but please remember this is an 18 year old car!!

Still searching for my wife's 86-87 SDL.

Joe

This isn't so bad. It's strange that at first they make it sound perfect, but HEY at least if you READ the description, they DO point out the faults. It's better than not mentioning any faults at all, just to have someone turned off when the pick it up.
What's the problem with that wood on the center console? I've seen cracks in the finish before, this thing looks like someone built a bonfire and roasted marshmallows on it.

it gets even better:

"Carfax is showing a milage reading of 274k in January of 2004. I bought the car out of an auction in Florida and was assured the 274k milage reading on Carfax was a mistake."

Yes, he listed some of the faults, what about the rest that he didn't list? I have to give him credit though for listing some. Most do not list at all. Most e-bay sellers put up ads for a 15 or 20 year old Mercedes and make you think it just rolled off the assembly line, its in perfect condition.

well they certainly can't be accused of making the car sound better than it is through lies. Even an idiot can understand that its not cherry. I guarantee you that care had 260,000 miles sitting under tha thot sun before the gettofilm was put on those windows.

Looks like the tach doesn't work either.. and what about the 5 cylinder turbo mistake? It looks like a 6, and it also says Turbo on the tailgate... Isn't this a 6 cylinder turbo?

But yeah, that center console looks like it was set on fire, not just baked in the sun...

I did just have one auction end an hour or so ago, a clock I auctioned for my mom (she was happy with the price). In the past few days I auctioned off a tool and a 2 tape (vcr) set for the 140 intro back in 92. Got those 2 shipped off today. So in the next few days I'll throw a few more things out there, after I get the clock shipped. I do a little at a time, no rush.......

That's water damage I believe to the wood on the console.

Man you guys see all that "Black Tire" Polish on those tires. He's got so much on one it's run down his wheel and left a streak. This dude wants to sell you his, "heep". Buy, Buy,Buy...thats what it says. Just wait till you wake up the next morning with a hangover and think,"oh no, what did I do"?

I agree that the center console looks too much like water damage. I bet the car has a questionable history waiting to unfold on some unsuspecting buyer... I'd run away fast!!!

Yes, and look at all the corrosion on the aluminium under that hood.

That ad is awesome. I have to think it is a spoof. "Odometer and carfax say 250k miles, but I'm sure it only has 125k miles!"
