FS-1999 E300TD in Memphis, 1 owner 157k miles.

Greetings all,

I am selling a 1999 E300 Turbo Diesel . I bought it from the original owners when they traded it in on a new Chevrolet Van. Smoke silver with parchment leather, heated seats, Bose CD, Stability. Excellent service history with Riverside Motors in Little Rock,AR. High miles but looks/runs/drives great!!! Still gets 36mpg (I drove it to Bolivar,TN this weekend)
Ebay auction 10 days. $19.99 starting bid I am selling it without reserve on ebay. Please give it a look.
Thank you for your time.

There are times that it really stinks selling cars when you would rather keep them...This is one of those times. I am rather frugal I suppose, and my wife drives a 1998 Land Rover Discovery. I bought that truck at auction, CHEAP, , but now I find that at 8mpg and at an estimated $90/week in fuel costs, it's not so cheap. The E300TD on the other hand, is nearly 5 times more efficient, and a lot safer too..I wish I didn't have to sell it. But then the whole eating and paying bills thing comes into play...

I'm curious (and jealous), Herb, as to the secret of the 36 MPG! That must be strictly highway, no? That car is EXACTLY mine ('cept for the heated seats). Mine looks just as sharp too (with 60k less miles though). Mine is a daily driver but I have mostly in-town mileage and get about 26 MPG. Not bad - but not 36.

I don't think the mileage is that far off. I got 34 mpg in my '97.

I had a 96 and 97 last year. Liked them alot. The 1999 seems to be a bit more efficient than my 97 was. EPA estimates for the 96 and 97 were 26/32 and the estimates for the 98 and 99 are 27/36.

My 97 got around 34 also and the 99 seems to do 36. I drove it on the highway this weekend quite a bit. Has great power even @ speeds near 100 mph , it still pulls away from most gassers that got in my way.

Yea, to get that mileage, it has to be all highway, any city driving will bring it down to about 30, and if you do nothing but city, you'll be around the 26 mark. It is a beatiful car though.
