I would call that 80% of the population. While waiting for my brother to finish soccer class I was out in the parking lot replacing the washer pump motor and I had a total of 3 people over the course of the hour say "Need a jump?" (with my radio on in the background), or "Won't start huh, need to get a newer more realiable car then that." I promptly got in and started it right up with an astonished look their faces.

I know what you mean.

I think all my neighbors pity me (or at least my wife) because I am always fixing something on one of my vehicles. I pity them because if they ever got stuck somewhere without a cell phone they would probably die before opening the hood and figuring out what is wrong. And if I hear one more person tell me about "good ole Jiffy Lube" I will crack him with a breaker bar!!!
