Well.. The New engine is in the 350SDL and its back on the road again.. I picked it up this afternoon a little after 4... I need to do a little detailing on it since it was covered up since May and is a little dirty.. It was so darn nice to drive her again.. Tomorrow I get her inspected so I can drive her legally.. And the funny thing that came out of all this is that the Cruise Control is working again... It was doing weird things before.. I will update everyone tomorrow as I get to drive her more and break in this new motor... So... My post the other day that all I want for Christmas was my 350 back came true...

Did you have some bent rods? What all was wrong that was corrected?

How about a bent rod that caused the timing chain to break and come through the top of the valve cover..... 173400 miles on the old motor... One big change is that the new one doesnt surge all the time while running and its a lot quieter....

This morning I took her and got an inspection so I feel better about driving her.. She is beginning to losen up some it seems.. Man I love having the boat back... Gotta go fill up with some good fresh fuel and then after running it through, change the filters...
