92 300D 2.5 Turbo Puking Oil
My friends 92 300D has been puking oil at the Turbo connection to the manifold. Is this "normal" or signs of an impending turbo replacement. I believe he has 150K on the engine

Known dribble spot. So long as it's only a dribble, it's normal, all diesels make some blowby at speed and it goes down the intake. A new gasket will help, but they all leak some here.
If you get large amounts with no evidence of excessive blowby (pull the hose to check -- carefully, as they get very brittle with age), the seals (and hence bearings) in the turbo are shot. Usually will give you some blue smoke out the back with normal performace if this is the case. Peter
