i need to know what the oil capacity is for my 1985 300sd, OM617...ive had this car for over 3 years and never understood how easy it is to change the oil in these things...granted, im doing it the man's way...ive bought close to $80 worth of stuff to get it done, but the satisfaction of doing it myself is well worth it...i was really considering buying a topsider to pull the oil out, but its just way too easy to pull the drain plug out at the bottom....jiffy lube loses another customer to DIY ...

im thinking the cap. for my car is something like 8.5 quarts...is this correct?
