Would you put these euro's on your car?

http://www.mercedesbenzparts.com/Euro_headlights.htm

I am guessing these aren't european made. Would you use these at $260 a pair or try to find used Bosh Euro's. What's a fair price for used bosch euro lights for a W126 300sd?

OK - I'll admit it - There are times when I am just plain anal............ Like Now!!

I held out for a set of Used Bosch - Paid just over $300 which included shipping from Germany. Your mileage may vary.............

There are many threads that discuss the value of New Depo's and TYC's - which are asian imports to the best of my knowledge. Those who have used them have been very pleased - If there have been any complaints - I think is was with the supplier themselves. Some suppliers will offer a 'Soup to Nuts' kit which includes the housings, bulbs, connectors, instructions, and Clear Corners......... Hit eBay to look for some of these.

Check out Daniel Stern Lighting Good Info.........

Same here. Tempted by new ones, but heard over and over how much better the real Bosch ones were. So I went used, same pricing as Smooooth. Trying to keep it real. My clear corners will be aftermarket though.

If I owned a 124 Euro's would be the ticket. After much deliberation on the 126 replaced the light frames and bought aftermarket clear corners - I am pleased.

Thanks for the great link! The section on aiming was very helpful. Now I know a little more of what to look for in properly aimed headlights. (Even though we have vehicle inspections here, most only look to see if the bulb lights up. )

Ask William (MTUPower) to keep an eye out for you. If he finds a set, it will be considerably less than $300.

William had a set about 3-4 weeks ago that he told me about. 1 day after I paid for the e-bay purchase.

Maybe it is a purist attitude but lights made in china are not Euros.

I got mine here at the mercedesshop.com classified forum:

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/forumdisplay.php?f=8

Run some searches. MTU had his for sale there.

This thread is interesting:

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=111546

Here may be the deal on some 126 Euros:

I will never do business with 991 ever again. They can lose the simplest order and only through repeated and exhausting negotiation was I able to get them to deliver.

mercedes991 has accumulated 135 NEGATIVES! Regardless of the many positives left buyers, that many negatives tells me that something definitely has to be very wrong! My experience was terrible, I wii never buy ANYTHING from them.

I'm so glad I didn't spend $500+ bucks for the Bosch, but rather paid $260 for the DEPOTS, and got all the bulbs too! BB
