Twice now the bracket that supports the Belt Tensioner Pulley has loosened up from its mounting. The securing bolt has worked loose and the whole assembly moves forward until it is being grazed bt the fan.
The whole assembly was replaced by a reputable benz specialist last August just before I collected the car from the PO. In October I heard this strange 'ticking' sound and found the fan had "shaved" the plastic cover over the Pulley bolt. I took everything apart and re-assembled using Loctite on the threads. Now it has loosened up again. Has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas why this might be happening? ![]()
