Custom Mercedesshop.com Badge anyone?

I'm testing the waters based on this thread thread to see if there is enough interest in a custom Mercedesshop.com grille badge to warrant a group purchase. In the referenced thread, prices mentioned being in the 'high teen's' depending on the design and if we could put together an order of 50+.

When we figure out a design and get a price, I'll order 4 right off the bat plus, I would be willing to manage this endeavour.

Here are some samples of custom grille badges.

C'mon gang, whaddya ya think?

I like the idea. Lets get started on design ideas.

I'd certainly buy 2 of them. Of course we need to make sure that we get Mercedessops permission if we want to use their name.

I'd prefer a window cling, saving my grill for mileage badges. Otherwise, I could see myself getting hooked on adding more badges
Are there any more of the window clings?
If no chance on the window cling, then I'd certainly pony up for one grill badge if under $20.
This place is like a second home.

Badge Designs

Just a thought but when I had my first business I went to the local art school and spoke to a couple of instructors who happily put this in front of their classes as a project to work on.

I ended up using the logo they created in my business and gave them a $100.00.

For this badge though I would think the bragging rights to having a badge that you designed all over the country on a bunch of Mercedes might be a pretty good incentive. As long as you make it clear that in the end none might be used and that the final decision is up to the members of the forum (good cop, bad cop) then you comeout a winner no matter what.

p.s. I'm in for a couple myself...

I'm not too worried about coming up with a design or producing the art. I'm OK at that sort of thing.

Hey Super count me in for three badges. Will someone take on this project? I would be really awesome if we can get the website's permission to do this and pull it off successfully.

My quicky count says we are up to 22 badges!

I'm definately down. Thanks for grabbing the bull by the horns, Leo.

Now here's the big question.... Do we make them MercedesShop specific? Or diesel specific? I suppose just mercedes shop specific, so we could all use them, but it would be tempting to have it be diesel-specific.

My vision is of the mercedes shop 'wrench logo' (reworked so it looks nicer, but same basic concept) in a big circle. Over the top it could say "Do it right" and along the bottom it could say, "Do it yourself". Or something else that celebrates the DIY spirit.

I'd be happy to make a few mockup designs, but it sounds like leo has some big tools of his own. I'll see what I can do.

Peace,
sam

Thumbs up I'll Take 2

How about the wrench & star, with "Diesel" above, and "Discussion" below?

Surely it would not take too much to make another order without the words for the open forum crowd, et al.

I was looking at that site, and I saw the Adenauer badge. With its oval shape, it could accomodate the entire mbshop logo and leave room for an area dedicated to specific forums (Diesel/SL/HiPo/et al).
What do y'all think?
