sensor for AC operation

if there was a wire to this sensor where would it go to?

It is the thermovalve for the EGR...
more if I can find it......

thermovalve 63 degrees F

My book may say that for 1980 it has two (?) going from it...
wh/pu/br to switchover valve EGR
wh/br to ' T' then to the vacuum pump and brake unit.
and the way I read it those are vacuum lines....
does not look that way in your picture...
So don't quote me on this....

mine's an '85 and appears to be a different animal. Next time I get rountoit...I'll look a little closer. I don't believe the sensor in my case is vac. related. Were I to guess, it either monitors coolant temp for aux. fan operation, or has something to do with prohibiting too early use of heat??? Just guessing at this stage...Thanks again.

My manual only covers to 84.. but it is vacuum through that year.
