So my third brake light is out which is really giving me a problem. I have no idea how take the thing apart to put a new bulb in it. If anyone could explain the process to me i would be very appreciative. I feel like an idiot asking advice on something i thought would be very easy, I just dont like breaking things.

First thing, check your owner's manual. All exterior bulb replacement should be covered.

edit**** just realized that you have an 82 and your car did not come with one from Mercedes, so it wouldnt be in your manual. Hopefully one of your fellow SD owners can be of help.

I'm thinking you just squeeze it from the sides and remove? I don't have an early 126 to go off of though. Be careful though, I've broken a few due to dried out plastic!
