Diesel Fuel Burn per hour at WOT?

Just wondering what a diesel engine consumes per hour per horsepower at wide open throttle. Pounds gallons would be ok, if anybody knows.

Gas is around 0.5 pounds per hour per horsepower WOT, I believe.

The largest Diesel engine in the world, that was on this site a few days ago, is the most efficient internal conbustion engine made. An auto is doing good to get 0.4 to 0.6 pounds of fuel per hp per hour.. The Sulzer engine gets 0.26 lb./hp/hr. It runs at a 50% efficiency compaird to 25-30% for a gas engine.
