Every day around here.

Aggressive driving and road rage disregards the safety of others.

Almost every week someone gets mad at me for going 65 MPH in a 65 MPH zone in the right lane.

I do not care if the people in other lanes are going 200 MPH, that is their problem.

When they crowd my bumper or pull in front and slam on brakes, I grab a plate number, pull off the road and call 911, then forget about it.

whunter,

I've had that happen to me a few times while in the right lane. I was quite astonished. Learning my freeway driving habits on the German Autobahn as a young man, I totally understand light blinking and everything for the slow poke in the fast lane, but the right lane was a new one on me. Where do they expect you to go?

There are many things about Germany that are less than perfect, but sometimes I think I would like to live there just because people are taught to drive properly.

Have a great day,

I tend to drive middle of the pack speed wise.....which means the right lane usually is clogged up already...but if I'm in the left lane and someone wants to go faster and I can move over I generally do...woe be it for me to keep them from a speeding ticket....I let them run interferance for the speed traps .......

That's the problem here, people learn from their parents or relative who don't know how to drive either. Not too many people take drivers education or any driving class.
I see people get on the highway immediately run to the left lane and go 55mph! It just drives me insane! If the highway is crowded I understand but if it's not then either drive faster or move over!

Camp out in the left lane in PA and you get a ticket for it......should be the law in more states.

Does reporting people that are deliberately driving like jackasses actually work where you live? Seems rather futile here in LA because when it's late and I am (in the 240d) going 65+ in the right lane there are people cutting across 5 lanes of traffic from the onramp going 105 in a 745Li blitzed on a cocktail of who knows what....

My girfriend and I saw a driver stand outside his white Ford Taurus as we passed by it exploded into flames on the 134 in Burbank. We called 911 and were informed that nobody else called in to notify of the car fire.

In refrence to the thread, I am amazed that the people around the pile up cared enough to get the plate of the car that caused the accident. I wonder how the insurance company will handle this. Seems like the people in the 11 car pile up will unecessarily lose time, money (dealing with the insurance company) and health complications because of one selfish disgruntled person....

Driving is a privilege, not a right. There are people out there who don't realize this. Those are the same people who skirt across 5 lanes of traffic at 80mph during rush hour and tail gate you just for the fun of it. I think the solution to this is to require ALL people who want to drive to take driver's ed courses. If you fail, or don't want to take the test, there's always the train, taxi, or bus. That would filter out quite a few bad drivers. Drivers need to be educated. Don't they do that over in parts of Europe?

It may seem futile, but I derive a certain sense of satisfaction by reporting a-holes to a certain 800 smog hotline. (PM me if you don't already know.)

I know, I know... I'm just adding to the AQMD's bureaucratic log jam. (Hmm.. two birds, eh?) But while I'm seething behind the wheel of my pokey wagon, I just take a moment to imagine what the a-hole's day will be like when they have to visit the smog check station...

I've also been known to dial 911 for the truly egregious violators. Driving on the shoulder, weaving, dangerous lane changes. Just make the call, the CHP would love to hear from you.
