8 am towed to mechanic...lifts hood starts car ...and says ...."whew oh boy big trouble" heart sinks....readys ky jelly and reaches for ankles...

He tells me how much this car is worth and explains that people who own MBZ must be ready to pay for expensive repairs...(unwraps KY).

I tell him ---look the guys on the diesel thread told me it is probably the chain or tensioner...etc...

Dude says, never heard of that garage...( whispers Lord protect me).

P.S. the dudes name is Attila ...crap u not.

As the car struggles to stay lit. i tell him about the tranny hard shifts...and he says tranny 2500. bucks....

Now I regret tow truck leaving....is now in full panic ....re=mention the vaccum re tranny prob he jiggles a blue line and says no its not the vaccum...

Co worker arrives for lift to office ....not worth a crap all day.

I call him at 5, With NEW attitude he tells me its the tensioner...and had replaced some dry lines and is replacing the valve cover seal. Wants to adjust the valves tomorrow ...breathes for the first time for the day and puts KY away...

BOTTOM line...ur info helped me a ton last night.....guess he figured i knew something about this diesel mystery car....
