the easiest way if the image is on your hard drive is, when you hit reply scroll down to "manage attachments" click that, another window will pop up. if one doesn't check that your popup blocker is off. if it does then you are in business - click "choose" and find the image on your hd and double click it. next hit upload. when you are done attatching images hit "close this window" and you will see below the text box your image file names.

type and post as usual hit submit (or preview) and you will see em.

if you decide to use ubb code (built in) then make sure you use the full url between
so if you are taking the picture from your server or a server you have permission to deep link an image from - you could right click the image and hit copy image address and past that between the ubb code.

try to post some images in this thread

Sam (and others) address this and some related issues in this thread.

As a personal opinion, I sort of like seeing thumbnails that I can click to view as opposed to big (sometimes really big) pictures that appear directly at full size within the messages.

I try to keep things reasonably friendly for my fellow dial-up users.

Minor niggle here - at least on my system, I don't see attached images in the preview, only after submitting the post.

With at least one of the earlier versions of the forum software, it wouldn't retain attached images if one used the preview feature after attaching. One had to attach files after any previewing in order to get them to stick. The current version of the software seems to retain attachments just fine after previewing.
