240D air cleaner

In the top of my 1981 240D air cleaner there is a hole similar to the one on my 300TD where there is a grommet for the valve cover vent line. But on the 240D the line run down beneath the air cleaner, so the hole is not used. In a Chilton's book it looks like a rubber plug should be in that hole. In mine someone put the cap off of a battery terminal in the hole ! Not the best for sealing I'm afraid. Any thoughts on where to get this plug besides a dealer ?

No hole in the 240D cover. You have a 300D airfilter cover. My daughters 83 240D's cover is solid.
