No more high HP dreams
Some of you may remember my first threads about turning my new '85 300d into a rubber burning drag car.
Well after about a month of searches and investigation, it is clear to me now that this car is not a shoe in at the strip. So i plan to spend the 2-3 grand on it to bring it upto snuff. The PO neglected it for many years, which is why the 2-3k price tag for a 500 dollar car, but i figure if i over look the labor costs on my part and classifiy it as a hobby the car will be around for a another 200k plus miles. whitch i see as a low cost for 200k miles with the ocational big ticket item inbetween. i also feel with the forums help it will come off with out a hitch, Thanks in advance! As for the tire burner, i have set my sights on the FACTORY FIVE '65 Roadster Mark III kit car with the 460 as a power plant, no bleach needed! |
