83 300d turbo starter out
Hello, has anybody had any problems with a starter, that quits, all of the sudden, with no pryer indication of any problems ? Had this happen to me, at a rest area. I thought it might be a roadside repair, like the 240d, NOT. I like the added power, but, I also like to be able to work on them. I had to get towed, then, a real mechanic charged me $300.00 to put a rebuilt one on. I may have a nice 300td for sell. I like my 240.

starter
dont get discouraged over a starter. they almost never fail. if they do it is usually just the solinoid. i am not sure if i have ever replaced a benz starter. i have had probably at least 6 with over 250,000 miles. the convenience of a stick is great though isint it... i am thinking that is why you like the 240.
