Talking Heaven is the thrill of lighting a new engine off...

Here I am 45, with a kid going to college who argues with me about George Bush's "No child left behind policy" at the dinner table and a wife who is a good commercial artist, so supposedly I am mature grown adult.
I guess you could say that! I do my own taxes, manage to keep my shirt tucked in all day and dont even spill coffee on myself three times a day now. My wife makes sure I dont eat 4 packages of Reese's Cups and three Cokes for lunch and Pizza for dinner and I have even been seen in a Tie and Dress shoes! I even read the front page of the newspaper now and not the Classified Ads or Comics.

Yet today is a very special day! I am lighting off the engine I stuck back in my 85 300D and I am on a High this morning. Last night I made my final connections in the fuel and cooling system and today I turn the Switch. Even after rebuilding some 14 engines, working on adavanced Systems equipment at work, meeting Al Gore in person, today is still the coolest day of my Life..

Meanwhile in Manhattan today, Donald Trump will launch a new 123 billion dollar skyscaper project, Paris Hilton will unveil a new 67 million cosmetics line and World Leaders will meet at the UN to discuss disarming Iran, AND somewhere in a small town in South Jersey a 45 year old man will start a Diesel Engine found in my Indy's Garage that was sighting idle for an year and a half...
I was up all night dreaming of that first cacaphoney when she kicks over and then settles into rythmic clatter..its the sweetest sound in the world... Now thats excitement! Thats living!
