I thought I would fix the air filter rattle with some JB weld.... you guessed it. That didn't happen. I'm waiting on the replacement bracket now. My question is, when I took everything off (my 1st time with the 300) I didn't remember seeing any smoke during startup coming from what seems like under the breather. Am I missing some type of grommet or it just blow by?

had same roblem, make sure that the air filter drain is lined uo with the drain tube. it is a male, female situation. i have to reach around under the air cleaner to phisically put it in place.

Thanks flyboy, I'll give it a try. I ordered the filter bracket, when that gets in I'll put it all back together and see if I didn't align it right. I've also noticed that I might have an exhaust leak on the flex tube exhaust pipe. I wonder how much that will be? It seems everytime I try to fix something, something else breaks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...... I need to learn to live by this.
