Error Code Question 1996 E300D
My Check engine lite came on today while driving. The car runs good. I plugged in the computer to the diagnostic port and I get a message when trying to clear the code "Errror 1209" unexpected result and the code won't clear. Anyone know what that code means or where to look it up?

However, there should be a character before the code. Like P0153 or something like that not just 1209, IIRC

P1xxx codes are manufacturer specific. You need someone with a better scan tool with MB software.

Wierd. Can you take the car to Autozone or someplace like that? My scanner works fine for the car and it is an Auto X-Ray
