Has anyone purchased anything from a website called
Megaparts.com.I have vised their site numerous times just to compare prices. There isn't much they DON'T have. They (say) the stock Mercedes OE stuff as well as after market i.e. Mahle,Mann,Bosch,Bilstien,Boge, and every other German spec.part.If they hold true to their credibility,it looks like a good source of decent priced Stock MB parts.
Check it out and let me know your opinion.J.S.

You have a reliable and fair priced place here, it also helps this site stay up! If you have not purchased from parts shop you should really try them.

I suppose I could find another site that saved me a few dollars. But the Parts Shop is not only friendly and prompt to reply to requests, they get the stuff out and on the road as well as I have ever been serviced by mail order. I think the overall performance on this site warrants my support, of course this is justIMHO.

Joe,

As R Opp & Shoe have already stated, please give the Parts Shop a try. I've compared prices at other websites and local brick & mortar shops, Parts Shop prices for OEM parts were overall cheaper.

Yes i agree with that. But it never hurts to have an alternate resource either.I just want to know if anyone has used this Co. in the past and if they're reliable. The parts order catalog is a snap to use and you can see instantaneously if they have the part on hand and when it will be shipped. You don't have to fill out a parts request.
I like this site and will remain a faithful user. The knowledge one can attain here is limitless. But as a DIY mech.and a husband with 2 small kids it would behoove me to go to the place that has the best price on the same parts.IF...they are not a reliable source I will not use them. There is no question about the reliability of this establishment.I just don't want to get schnookered by some company like Megaparts, without an opinion first.Case-in-point...BenzBin.I WAS going to order something from them.I got several bad reports.I will not even take the chance now. Thanks for your input guys. I have yet to order anything
from Mercedesshop. What's the easiest procedure? J.S.

Just click the tab at the top of the page marked "PartShop" (Or click on the banner). They are great. I have ordered several thousand dollars of parts from them. They are usually the least expensive for quality OE parts, and they once identified a part by # that my local dealership couldn't even find, and couldn't quote me a price on! On another occasion, they told me that the part I needed was so inexpensive ($3.00) that I should get it from the local dealer, as the shipping expense would wipe out the lower cost they would charge at PartShop!

Megaparts

It's funny that the subject of Megaparts came up. Very soon (within weeks) we will be transitioning Fastlane over to something VERY similar to Megaparts. In fact, we will be able to offer exactly what Megaparts offers because we will working with the same supplier they do. Megaparts was the first "beta" site and we are the second.

In essence we will have 2 parts "stores" on the MercedesShop website...

- PartsShop will continue to operate much the same as it does today. This means we will continue to sell a full range of Mercedes parts including OE quality, special order parts, Service CD's, additives and some special tools. You will either have to know your part number or submit an inquiry to buy parts.

- Fastlane will transition into a "Megaparts" style interface. It will be 100% self-service which means you don't have to know your part number to buy parts...just your year, model and Vin#. We will also be able to offer parts for ALL of the car make you see in Megaparts. That is 27 brands of cars! You will be able to buy parts for just about any import car. The only downside is that the overall parts selection will not be quite as comprehensive as PartsShop. Since Fastlane and PartsShop are actually 2 separate stores you will not be able to place one order with parts from both stores. Also, the pricing in both stores will not always be the same.

Bottom line...both stores are MercedesShop and we will stand behind anything you buy from either store. Why two stores? Because we want to bring our MercedesShop members the widest selection and the best prices WITHOUT sacrificing quality or customer service. We have been working on this deal for several months and we think everyone will be impressed with the many parts options we will be able to offer you.

More to come on this subject!
