Hi,

I have been lurking here for a while and after reading many different threads I still have some questions in regards to the W126 300SD. My main interest is in swaping in a 2.47:1 differential from a 380SE, I've read Dieselgeek's thread about the procedure but want to make sure I understand every part before I do it myself. First, does pulling out the differential/ axle shafts just involve unbolting the axle shafts at the wheel hubs and sliding them out, then unbolting the differential, and pulling all that out, or am I missing something? Also, would it be possible to roll back the mileage on the 380SE speedo to match the 300SD speedo? Finally a somewhat diferent question, is the parking brake light in the gauge cluster just a 2721 light bulb?
