300SD Turbo Available - $3500+/-
I'd buy it but it would cause a divorce; my indies aren't interersted in me living at either of their homes:
Black! over tan? ( whichever leather starts to go pinkish ) 1984 with 210K miles (a young 'un!) with most records and running strong. Everything except glow plug light working. Body really good (I'd paint it after a Paintless guy/gal did their thing - but I'm anal retentive). Some sun cracking and general lack of wax flexing their muscles as to paint ( looks fine at 75 mph I'll bet ). Interior in pretty good shape (it would take me 3 or 4 weekends to clean it up to my liking - see "anal retentive" note above). Interior in reasonable shape - sunfade but no massive reconditioning necessary seat wise; wood isn't the best (don't know how to rate it - I would be replacing or reworking first thing - keep in mind I have been refinishing wood/trim for about 35 years - I don't care for mistreated wood) Less than wonderful: "hack" jobs include Home Depot indoor/outdoor recarpeting in black througout (interesting color scheme; but picture that plastic type I/O carpet???); I like a clean, waxable paint - this one needs paint for sure due to dings and neglect; a real hack job on wheel repaint (plan on stripping & repaint/powder coat for sure). There's more to consider I'm sure, but I have no interest right now in pursuing it - it seems to be a reasonable deal (Kansas car to start, spent most of its life in TX, I think). Indy thinks its clean (he's been under it). Passing it along only - don't know who owns it (but want to make my Indies happy campers) - it appears to be solid and would be an excellent upgrade for [B]RLEO[/B (Sorry Randy - I need to see you in a 126 one of these days,LOL; you will thank me when you are). If one of youse is interested, let me know [kevinm@texas-sterling.com or PM] and I'll get you more info - my indy is 2.87 miles from the house. BenzOn! Kevin P.S. - Did I mention it is BLACK?!

With all of the issues regarding the condition of the body and the interior, I don't see how a price of $3500. can be justified for this SD. Way too much work for the asking price, IMHO.

these cars, unless top condition don't fetch more than 3K. not to be rude but i got mine with less miles and better condition (from what you mentioned) for $1900.
