Recently I have been noticing that I have less brake boost than usual, the brakes are potent enough and stop well, but during harder braking, it will lose its feel and lose boost. In other words, as the brake is going closer and closer to the floor, it seems that it's not giving vacuum assist, it just doesn't have any bite. I also notice that during the brake boost test (pump brakes with engine off, put foot on brake pedal, watch it go down when engine is started) the brake pedal does not sink as much as it used to. I have one of those plastic MityVacs and the vacuum pump pulls 22" at idle. Locks work perfectly, engine shuts off perfectly every time. So should I be prepared to replace the booster, cause i haven't really heard of one going bad on these cars.
