So what do you all think about a silver car and clear corners? If anyone can photoshop clears on my car it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for any opinions.

Clear corners are a must on that vehicle.

I recently put clear corners on the SDL (dark grey) and it's a significant improvement. The clear corners have a plastic that does not exactly match the glass on the Euro headlamps, but.........I suppose you can't have everything.

I have the same car

Smoke silver is the color I believe. I'd like to see how they look when you get them on. Please post or email me.

Thanks,

Tom

I put corner lens from an '94-'95 W124 on my smoke silver '87 300D to match the Hella Euros. The lens are clear but have a little yellow stipe at the leading edge:

I assume there is something like that for the 126 chassis?

That would look excellent. The Depo's are a opaque plastic...........closer to a white look..........definitely not at all clear.

I like it. I think the yellow leadking edge is cool. I'll have to talk with my indy. His kid is always pimping out his 124 diesel and he and I were talking about it the other day. I'll have to see the cost.

Thanks again...that gives me a good idea what the'll look like

I meant to say yellow "stripe" it is visible from the side (and I do not have any side photos on hand right now) and some of the orangish color you see in the otherwise clear lens is from the yellow 1157 bulb.
they were in the $40 range but have gone up recently to $58 per side. Here's a better picture of the lens:

Or get some from a wrecked 94 - 95 124 car

Now if I could just find another set of Euro headlights to go on the 124 project I am working on.

Clear corners look ricey. Get yourself some dark amber Euro spec corner lights instead.

OK I'll make a point of that especially so I can show off my new SLK wheels
Meanwhile I just looked at '94 W126 (E350SD) for turn sig lens, and yes they do offer a white lens! It has a littel more yellow stripe than the "white" 124 lens do, but still fit the oerall OE appearance (not too ricey in my book!)
see: http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/smittys/sa/wizard.jsp?partner=smittys&clientid=sasponline.com&baseurl=http://www.sasponline.com/&cookieid=1FR0YX88J1LO12WUTJ&year=1994&make=MB&model=S-350D-001&category=P&part=Turn+Signal+Assembly
The same wholesaler sells through Fastlane, so you can buy from them also. Double click on the images and it will enlarge them real big for you to see the details. I presume these fit the earlier 126 chassis as is the case with the 124 cars.

You know I sorta like the amber Euro lens but they are extremely hard to find over here
I think the smoked tail light lens is what looks ricey and pimpy!

I used smoke corner lens when I installed my E-Code headlights. Also installed 'Silver Star" bulbs to get rid of the scrambled eggs look... Car is metallic black and in my opinion, looks great...........

I feel that the smoked corner lens will look good on your car.

Clear corners make any color W126 look better.

I was looking at a 126 today and kept thinking something looked different about it. Now I know what it was....clear corners.

Looked great IMO.

Cheers,

Bill
