has anybody bought parts from these people?

They claim to offer high quality mercedes parts "for a fraction of the cost", are these parts worth the box they come in?. The price difference is in some cases subtancial enough to consider them, but I never bought anything from them so don't know how long they'll hold. Here's the link

I haven't, but that is way too much negative feedback for my taste. I would pass on it. Keep in mind that many people give positive feedback way too soon - upon receipt of the item - and then later do not have the opportunity to leave negative feedback when then item doesn't measure up later, such as a couple of weekends down the road when they go to intall the item.

I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy anything more from Mercedes991 oufit in Miami.
Just remembering the crappy blistered plating on a "new" bumper they shipped me is enough to make me want to
They refused to make it good and insulted me in the process. AVOID!!!!!!

A lot of the new parts sold on ebay is junk. You will be better served to buy your parts from a reputable parts supplier.

A lot of "reputable parts suppliers" sell on eBay. A new OE or OEM part is the same regardless of the supplier source. Just like with any other purchase it is best to do your homework and deal with reliable/honest sellers.

You are absolutely right. And after learning a few lessons in the school of hard knocks, I stopped buying Mercedes parts on Ebay. Its difficult to "do your homework" when the scam artists open a new Ebay account whenever they need to rehabilitate a bad reputation.
Yes, OE parts are OE parts. But the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of the new MB parts on Ebay are not OE or OEM. They are aftermarket junk, and are priced accordingly.
And then there is the OEM box, with aftermarket junk inside. Been there, done that.

I have done business with them and remember no issues...but then I have heard of cyclic issues with them....

Make sure you check out fastlane before you buy there....Ebay is not always the cheapest when you factor in sometimes very high shipping charges...

Buy enough and Fastlane has free shipping....and Phill is far more pleasant to deal with.
