On now - History Channel, history of engines

... if anyone's interested ... the History Channel is showing "Modern Marvels: the history of engines" right now. They just went over steam engines and are going to do electric and eventual Int combustion. It's very interesting ... is on from 7 to 8 p.m. EST here.

Saw the show but it wasn't really worth the effort. Sort of like a 101 course on different kinds of engines.

Did you have to walk a mile to get to a television and watch it? How much effort does one have to extend to watch a program?

Sorry if I misled ... it was very bare bones, but for dumdums like me who are new to the world of mechanics/engineering/technology, I thought it was interesting. I couldn't listen that well to it because I'm at work and my co-workers were talking, but it seemed that they didn't cover much of the combustion engine, gasoline or diesel, which was kind of disappointing. The wankel thing was kind of interesting ... I didn't realize that anyone still toyed with that technology.

For the most part I really like Modern Marvels. They had one on the history of SUVs that covered a lot of Jeep and Land Rover history, which was cool. One of my favorites was the special on COFFEE ... being a big coffee connossieur, I liked that.

It came from a box of Prismacolor colored pencils sitting in my apartment.
I might be the only artist nerdy enough to draw my car, Christmas bow on the hood ornament and all.

I'm a sportswriter by trade, artist by hobby ... I usually draw baseball players and horses ... www.geocities.com/cat8741
