I can visualize what happened here!

Too bad you didn’t post yesterday…I just threw all that steering stuff in the dump with the rest of a whole car.

Mine even had a bag of sack-crete

Sorry Steve: Your about two weeks late on mine - it went to the crusher with most of that stuff. It even had half a bag of sack crete with which you could have repaired the curb.

yep

i sent old blue, an 82 240, that my kids crashed at least three times, to the crusher a couple of weeks ago. they asked me what was in it. i said no motor, no trans, no interior, no battery, no radiator, etc. they charged me $25 to come get it. i will pay them to take off the rear a arms before crushing, since they have new bushings and i will prob need them sooner or later.

Unhappy time to bite the bullet

i guess its time to admit and tell the problem. my benz, still pending a name i'm looking for the perfect name for her, is my daily driver to and from school. i drive a buddy of mine to school with me as i'm in high school. well there has been a lot of construction as they say in the chicagoland area there are only two seasons: winter and construction. we're still in construction well the main road is blocked off for construction this week. on tuesday i picked up my friend the morning was going perfect everything on time. until i had to drive through this intersection that has been only gravel to asphalt for a couple of months, they have filled it with more gravel once or twice. nevertheless i had never gone out of his subdivision that way, and was going slow stopped at the stop sign, then continued slowly, there was a pothole in the gravel that i didn't see, and my front driverside wheel hit it hard, doing about 15 as i drove through here, i hit it just as i was accelerating to go up this "cliff" and the front end bounced up from the pothole and the benz bottomed out, curhsing the oil pan, oil pump, knocking the steering out, and leaving it locked so luckily there was no one around right then so i wouldn't hit anyone, i shut her off right away to make sure she wouldn't get hurt anymore. my friend and i pushed her off to the side and she had to be towed as she was pouring out the oil i had just put in 2 weeks prior. so i've been scrounging to find the parts i need, i believe i have found most of everything, i just need my baby back. my driveway and garage are too empty now.
