Custom license plates

So my wife decided the name of the car is "Sherman" as in tank. She also decided she wanted vanity plates. "MY1BBY"
(MYBABY was taken of course.)
Just wondering what others have on their MB's.

I'd like to have a license plate frame on each of my Mercedes that says:

"My other car is a Mercedes"

its an extra $10 a year here for basic personalised tags annually over the cost of regular tags...specialized tags will up that price over and above the personalized tag fee and the regualr registrations fees by as much as $20 a year (some are $10 others more)....so you can more than double costs when you compound certain specialized tags with personalised choice....

Will most states allow custom lettering on an antique plate? They are good for 5 years here in CO and my '80 is just the right age to qualify.

Antique tags in VA are a one time $11 fee......they are valid as long as you own the car and maintain insurance....I would guess personalized Antique tags would vary state to state.

Do you know if there are use restrictions and/or emission tests (for gassers) required for CO antique plates? I keep meaning to check into them for my 914 (if I ever get it put back together).

The vehicle needs to be at least 25 years old. One emissions test for the entire time on gassers, as long as it does not change ownership. Diesels I believe is 5 years per emissions (I'll have to check on that).

Thanks, that sounds pretty painless.

Randy, I have a pair of those. I took 'em off when they made L P frames illegal. If I can remember where I put 'em I will get 'em to you.
