No Heat........and it's Cold....

The "Climate Control" on my '77 300D currently does not work - at all. The 16A blower motor fuse in the main fuse box will blow after running for about 1 second. The motor itself works - it will just keep blowing the fuse everytime I try to turn something on (ex. defroster, bi-level, etc). Any suggestions?

I'm guessing the dreaded ACC servo is locked up. Can you see any cracks in the housing?

Get an ameter reading on the blower motor before it blows the fues to see if its pulling too many amps. Otherwise you have a short somewhere.

I doubt its brushes....it could be either the evil vacuum servo failed or the bearings in the blower are shot....
