Vacuum shutoff question
I was looking at the diagrams in the sticky up above, and I have a question about http://home.comcast.net/~phantoms/vacuum/IP_shutoff.jpg
Can someone tell me what exactly the "valve glow starter switch" and the "cam glow starter switch" are? Is this some kinda funky technical jargon for the ignition switch (key)? Will I need the key switch from the donor car to make this circuit function properly when the engine is installed in my Jeep? TIA, Don |

That is the vacuum "switch" that is part of the ignition switch on the car. When the key is turned on, the vacuum line is closed. When you turn the key off, the vacuum switch opens, which shuts off the fuel supply at the injection pump.

Thanks! I guess that means I'll be using the 240D Key switch in my project as well.
