Note to self: Silicone is hard to get off your lips

I was fixing the door lock diaphragm on my sd with some silcon gasket material. I clamped it up to dry and tried to see if it was airtight by blowing on the vacuum tube and I got a fatty gob of it covering my lips. It took a good twenty minutes to scrape that crap off (along with some large portions of lip). Won't do that again...

With a title like "Silicone is hard to get off your lips", you'll probably have a lot of eager teenagers (and older guys from what I've seen here at this forum) clicking on this thread, only to be disenchanted that it's about gaskets and door locks.:D

Or huffing the stuff.

pawoSD 12-07-2005 02:38 AM

I'm a teen (for a few more months anyways...) and I thought "oh no, he got a sealant or gasket material on his lips" when I saw the title of the thread. I know all too well how that stuff is, it repaired my lower turbo drain tube flawlessly! :D And the stuff I used is neon orange, great for detecting leaks! :D :D (of which there are none, and its been about 4 months)

Sadly I must agree...a lot of us on this forum are car geeks. :D

I'm sure there are several tasteless jokes, but so far I've managed to restrain myself.;)
