TW;

If you actually do have the time and skills, I would like to suggest a DIY project. "removal of the dash in a W123, with pics for each step" I will send you the 6 pak of your choice, and a holiday card.

Damn! I funny I saw this post right after checking out Boneheaddoctor's profile to find out what kind of a person can post so many messages. Over 14,000! Impressive man! You must be one of the people who pump the heart of this forum... or rather, you're one of the people who make up the very heart of the forum. I could never match such records. I just did 1000 posts the other day after 20 months!

Another part of the anatomy might be more a more fitting analogy after you peruse the Open Discussion area.

I checked that section out. A lot of diesel geeks also post there. I never do. I stay only within the Diesel Discussion, Tech Help and Featured Cars sections.

yeah

i got over there once by accident. i thought i was looking at the diesel geek topic. i thought i had woke up in oz. finally realized my mistake and skated back here.

technical reality is a lot more interesting for me than reality tv and that topic.

see here i am again.

woke up at 430 and couldnt go back to sleep. read the local paper on line and here i am. my wife wont get up til 9.

at nine i am going with a buddy to pick up a 64 studibaker four door daytona with r1 avanti engine, four speed, posi 354 traction bars, sway bars front and rear power brakes, 160 mph speedo and factory tach. it is low mileage 39k and rusty. he is going to swap all the goodies into his 65 studie wagonaire from georgia....which is rustfree and engineless.

that should be some good harmless fun.

think i wil go read "mr. lincoln's army" by bruce catton some more.

well

it is a good thought on the pics but i am very lazy and not very computer literate. i am not likely to get my 18 yr old to do that! maybe one of these days i will post a family pic or something. maybe some of my beasts.

oh yeah today my brother dug into the brakes on my scout. i had noticed that it was pulling very hard to the right when i stopped. it felt like i had only one rear brake working. turned out that the left front cly leaked and soaked the brake shoe and one of the rear lines had rusted and drained that side of the mc. so i had one brake working, the right front!

i dont need very good brakes since i rarely get out of low range when pushing snow but only one is a little extreme even for 10 mph!

that scout is amazing! it can sit for six months and you can hop in crank and pump a couple times and it will fire right up.
