Brake Booster Vacuum Line Connector broken

The valve/splitter in the middle of the line has broken. One of the brittle port lines broke off into the vacuum line when I tried to remove the line. My question is, can I buy a new valve by itself, or do I need a whole new line?

You have to buy the entire line.

And before someone suggests a "field" repair, be mindful of the fact that the size of the hose fitting (inside diameter) is critical to the proper operation of the transmission. So don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

I've done it on the SDL. Reaching down to install the nut for the upper control arm.

It's about $40. at the dealer. No easy fix. I tried.

I purchased one tonight for much less than dealer price + MBCA discount.

It should be here next week. Removal looks pretty easy, just loosen up each end of the line, remove, and installation is reverse of removal, right?

Correct, as I recall you want to use two wrenches to avoid breaking the connections, mine was pretty tight.

I broke a tee on mine a couple of months ago and improvised a repair with a bit of tubing that used to be the insulation on a piece of #12 wire. It's working fine so far.
