I just put new motor mounts and transmission mount in my friend’s 1985 300 Turbodiesel. I pulled out the driver’s side motor shock and it was worn out and in need of replacement. He did not get the shocks and said he didn’t want to bother with replacement since he said the car runs quite smooth, shake and shudder free.
Is it critical to replace them or are they somewhat redundant? |

they help
keep the bounce under control. it will make your hoses and such last longer.

The shocks help a lot on shut down. I'd put the old one back at the very least.
