W116/W126 -Brake Booster Interchange?

Anyone know if W116 and W126 brake boosters swap? Two W116s that I have leak and so far I can only find a W126 in the boneyard. I wouldn't mind a rebuild but now with Christmas it looks like I won't see one out of Advance Auto for 10 days and I'd like to be driving it if I can

Anyone know?

Rick

How much are you prepared to spend on a good used one? not counting shipping.

assuming they don't interchange? I really can not answer that question.

I ask becasue I have a good one in my parts car that worked fine when I parked it there last year.

Thanks BHD-

It's probably not worth the effort/expense to ship a used one. I went ahead and ordered a rebuilt from Advance for $87 (bottom line-shipped free) . If I can find out that a W126 will work , and I think it does (the internet sites use the same part # for it and for the master cylinder) I'll get one at upullit for $10-15. If it doesn't work I can return it and use the rebuild. Or return the rebuild.

I guess I'm covered. Supposed to be here by Xmas but.....
I had ordered one from Autozone but they cancelled my order 3 days later as they found they had no stock. I hope I don't get the same story from Advance.

Rick
