Christmas report card time ... MB/diesel-related gifts?

OK, I am sitting here at work (yes, you get a newspaper on Dec. 26 and somebody has to design it!) and I need some entertainment ... I think it's time for the obligitory "what-did-you-get-for-Christmas?" survey. Anyone get anything cool for their MB or other cars? Anyone get an MB?

Needless to say, Santa did not bring my diesel G-Wagen. Stiffed again. However, my parents did get me some nice things: I got a lovely random-orbital power buffer + buffing bonnets, which I can't wait to give a test run if the weather ever clears up. I also got a set of chrome tire valve stem caps with black Mercedes logos on them to spruce up Bo a bit (my parents actually made the gift tag out to me AND "Bo"). Also got a subscription to Mercedes-Benz Classic quarterly magazine. And (not MB, but car related) I got two books on oil: The Oil Factor by Stephen Leeb and The End of Oil by John Roberts ... good stuff. AND my dad gave me two quarts of Mobil 1 0W 40 synthetic for the KJ.

How did you guys make out this morning?

Probably did well, if Santa came to your house in THIS ride:

Work gloves! I forgot, I got a nice pair of those, too, although I imagine I'll use them more for yard work than car work (kind of nice to grease up).

My big presents this year were two horse racing art prints, plus I got the usual slate of baseball stuff and the almighty Starbucks gift card. I wish Starbucks carried diesel ... it would be $35.99 a gallon, but Bo would love it.

I think the drawing of the 300D is stunning. The attention to detail is amazing.

Thanks Brian! I guess attention to detail is a good thing to have if I want to be a DIY mechanic.

I should probably start a business of doing commissioned "portraits" of people's cars, dogs, horses and cats ... I could probably double my yearly income.
