what are these things on the center console? I have an 82 SD and i dont have them...some option i've never heard of ?

I think thoose are speaker covers, which are covering some speakers.

Nice car - however, the Buy It Now price is about twice the value of vehicle.
Hope he gets it as it bodes well for all diesel owners to have a 2x multiplier at work. BTW, looks like speakers, but there is very little space there ...

Doesn't look much better than your average one with 200K miles that's been taken care of. Hell even some of the ones that aren't taken care of look decent after a good wash.

Those are aftermarket speakers in the console. Their is no room back their, I hope they didn't hack the wire loom to install them.
 Looks like a real nice car though.

ive seen those speakers on many 300SD's on ebay. I was thinking of putting speakers there but never did just mounted them on the doors.

I just took apart my 1983 300sd center console to put in some veggie oil controls and found that there isn't much room under the radio from the front, but I would think I could put some speakers in the sides. Some small speakers to give some extra surround sound would be nice. I dont think I have enough room now though.
