300SD vacuum issues

Hi, I know its late but if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I have an 84 300SD. I just had the transmission rebuilt ($$$) but it doesn't shift properly. The first shift from 2-3 is hard and sometimes flares. The next shift, 3-4, is usually smooth.
I've read a lot of the threads and DIY on the trans and vacuum but what I really need is a photo of the vacuum lines on an 84 300SD. I think they may be mixed up. Can anyone help me out?
Thank you
Izick

I dont have pics of your specific model but maybe this pictorial will help you sort some basics.

You should be able to find your diagrams here:

This is the vacuum diagram for your vehicle:

Note that the flare on the 2-3 can be fixed by one of two approaches:

1) Reducing vacuum to the modulator via adjustment of the vacuum control valve.

2) Installing a K1 replacement piston and kit in the transmission.

Both of these will have a benefit.........the former will firm up all the shifts........the latter will simply address the 2-3.

Thanks

Thanks guys. I figured out that the lines going into the vacuum control valve were reversed.
Thanks again
