Big deal, the woman(not lady) drives a Roller. A nice Shadow or Wraith can be had for 15k. Even a mid '80s Spur can be had for Civic money. If she really had money she wouldn't be eeking(sic) out a living at the local community college. She probably has less money than most of the people on this forum. There are many people driving around in old 300D models that can write a check for a new Mercedes whenever they want. It's called old money. This racist woman probably feels threatened that a non wasp couple will be making well over six figures soon. |

I was never that 'upset' about the whole deal, but rather disappointed at the way we were treated. I was also disappointed because my two sons cannot come to live with us as we had planned.
I don't treat the people in my community like this so I expected at least fair treatment from our landlord. Through the course of the Department of Fair Housing Investigation, it has come to light that the landlord has been involved in some very unscrupulous actions in the past. As far as salary at the local community college....the position she holds is an $85,000/year position. I know...I was lead contract negotiator for the college contract a few years ago. With a 3% increase every year, that would be a nice salary now. It's a little humorous to see her shopping at Dollar Tree. I wave to her each and every time I see her. I kinda feel sorry for her considering how her life is driven through misinformation and hatred. Bottom line is this...we are healthy, unprejudiced and I have a great job making good money and we will get through this. It may take a while, but we will hold the landlord accountable for each and every one of her discriminatory/unfair/unlawful actions in a court of law. Benz: I don't take the 'get even' attitude with me in life and I certainly feel it has no place in law enforcement. If she rolled into the ER tonight, I have no doubt that Tameka would do everything possible to save her life because she is a professional. I work for a different city, but I would give her the same benefit of service if she was living our visiting there as I would anyone else. That's just how we are. Benz: She knew what I did for a living as my cruiser was in the driveway many times when she came into the house, because I don't drive the cruiser for personal errands. The neighbors ever shot some video of he going into and coming out of the house with the car in the driveway. It's funny to watch. What concerns Tameka and I more than the eviction is how much of her attitudes and prejudice are at work at the college... Anyways...How was your week!!!...Bert |

it was great
i was on vacation.
i hope you are now operating on the legal tab of some other organization not your own. legal actions seldom work out like you want them to. and the lawyers always get their fees. sometimes the best thing is to walk away and look for your blessings to count. it sounds like you have a big part of that straight in your head already. tom w

Well Bert, maybe the lady will come around one day. She probably
just needs a little companionship and is probably a very lonely individual. I'm certain you will handle the situation in the best light. As far as this week went, I spent most of it working on running electrical wire, getting filthy dirty and sweaty and breathing in 100 year old dust, while crawling on my stomach and sliding on my back underneath a low pitched roof with the roof's tack nails sticking precariously low toward my head. I learned how to do the electrical work mostly while learning how to troubleshoot the climate control on my SD. Once I finally got that thing functioning properly by having to follow diagrams without the use of a Mercedes socket box, I was a pretty good electrician and running house wire was basically a piece of cake after all of those headaches tracing wires. Other than that, my week was great.
